There are a variety of options for students to explore and engage in authentic and meaningful skilled trades and related learning opportunities.
Students develop competencies reflecting the attitudes, skills and knowledge necessary to meet the ongoing demands of life, work, and learning in skilled trade careers.
Students can access trades-related learning through a variety of Technology Education, Co-operative Education, and Skilled Trades courses, and the Options and Opportunities program.
Students who successfully complete Skilled Trades courses under the direction of a certified journeyperson teacher can earn up to 500 apprenticeship hours upon their registration as an apprentice or youth apprentice.
